Former Assembly Member commends Tema Mayor for clearing criminal hideouts

Former Assembly Member commends Tema Mayor for clearing criminal hideouts
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Richard Aning, a Communication Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Tema Central Constituency and a former Assembly Member, has commended the Mayor of Tema, Madam Ebi Bright, for what he describes as her resilience and hard work in the harbour city.

Speaking on EBANOSEN on Plan B FM, Mr. Aning said Madam Bright is the first woman to assume the position of Mayor of Tema and the first appointee from Tema Central. According to him, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and has outperformed many of her predecessors.

He cited areas such as Community Nine — from the Apostolic Church to the cemetery enclave — where criminals allegedly hid and attacked residents at night and, at times, during the day when individuals walked alone.

Mr. Aning further praised the mayor for demolition exercises carried out at Community Four and the El Paso area in Community One and its surrounding neighborhoods.

He stated that when one is pursuing a “Ghana agenda,” political party colours should not matter. He therefore stressed the need to appreciate the mayor of the industrial hub for what he described as her bold and decisive leadership.

Mr. Aning also urged other Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) to emulate her resilience and courage in taking tough decisions that will yield positive results for their communities.
