Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Yusif has charged the Black Stars to focus on the task ahead in the AFCON 2021 and not to be worried about money.
He made this statement when he called on the team at their camp in Yaoundé Cameroon.
The visit was to wish the team well ahead of their last group game against Comoros on Tuesday January 18, 2022.
“I want to inform you that the whole country is behind you, supporting you with prayers and believing that you will make us proud. On our part as government, and you can attest to it we’ve done our part. Every single thing that we have to put in place i have ensured his Excellency of the Republic Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has made it available. So there is no anything at all that you should be worried about as far as financial and logistics are concerned” he said
Ghana are yet to win a game in the ongoing AFCON 2021 after losing their first game against Morroco and drawing 1-1 with Gabon yesterday. The results leave the stars in third place with just a point.
A win against Comoros will be enough to secure qualification to the knockout stages of the competition as one of the best 3rd-placed teams.
