At least 94 people have died, and more than 137,000 have been displaced due to flooding caused by torrential rains in Niger since June.
The floods have destroyed over 15,000 homes and around 40 classrooms, and have resulted in the death of 15,472 livestock, according to Minister of Humanitarian Action and Disaster Management Aissa Lawan Wandarma.
The capital, Niamey, which had previously been spared, was also affected, with at least four people dead and many others injured, according to the interior ministry.
