A fire outbreak at the Yota Energy Greenhouse at Shai Hills has been brought under control after personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and other responding agencies were deployed to the scene.
The fire was reported at about 10:09 a.m., with the first response team dispatched at 10:10 a.m.
Four firefighting appliances were deployed to tackle the blaze from Gbetsile, Motorway, Devtraco and the Armed Forces BAD.
The Gbetsile team, operating Gabriel 4, arrived at the scene at 10:37 a.m., while the Motorway team, using Motor 4 – Pump 2, arrived at 11:15 a.m.
The Devtraco team, operating David 4 – Pump 3, arrived at 11:14 a.m., while the Armed Forces BAD team arrived at approximately 10:39 a.m.
Firefighters worked to contain the blaze, with the fire reported to have been under control by 12:31 p.m.
Details on the cause of the fire, extent of damage and any casualties were not immediately available.
