Afire Service personnel has stormed the workplace of his brother-in-law, a teacher, to beat him up for bruising his sister.

The firefighter, identified as Andrews Tawia Asante and stationed at the Bekwai District Fire Command on August 10, 2022, paid his brother-in-law, Felix Darkwa who teaches Mathematics at Apagya D/A JHS in Adansi South District, a cold visit.

The visit ended in the destruction of some properties in the school.

According to the teacher, he had a misunderstanding with his wife which got settled before he left for work that morning.

“I had a misunderstanding with my wife. Some clergymen and the Assemblyman of our area came to resolve it in the morning. I left for work”, Felix narrated in an interview on Nhyira FM.

Felix admitted to hitting his wife in the course of the misunderstanding and justified that that was the only option left for him to survive an attack from his “physically abusive wife”.

“I Gave her a bruise above her eyebrow. I hit her because she had her finger stuck in my eye. I would have lost my life had I not hit her. I once lost consciousness during a misunderstanding when she hit me”, he said.

According to Felix, this is the second time his brother-in-law has beaten him up, the first took place at his residence.
