FIFA U-17 WWCQ: Black Maidens Triumph Over Morocco By 2-0 In First Leg
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Goals from Stella Nyamekye and Nancy Amoh in either half gave the Black Maidens a 2-0 first-leg win over Morocco in their U-17 Women’s World Cup Qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Nyamekye’s first-half strike gave a dominant Maidens side a narrow lead at the break.

Despite creating lots of chances to double their lead in the second half, the Maidens had to wait until the 65th minute to get their second.

Nancy Amoh scored a superb second from a free-kick to give Ghana a healthy advantage ahead of the second leg in Morocco.

The winner of the tie on aggregate will qualify for the World Cup which is set to be hosted by India.
