A 28 years old father by the name of Kojo Antwi has been shot to death in a community known as Ahinsan close to Dompease in the Ashanti Region. A fetish priest called Nana Collins Amponsah popularly known as Nana Otututuo shot the young man at the town’s lorry station. According to residents of the town, the fetish priest had a scuffle with another man called Old Soldier over land issues.
He went to a bar and got drunk. He searched through the town looking for the old soldier but did not find him. He then we to the lorry station and shot at Kojo Antwi. According to an eyewitness, Kofi Adom, he was sitting at the lorry station with Kojo when the fetish priest came with a gun, drunk. He quickly left the place and tried calling his friend but the fetish priest shot him.
The fetish priest realizing what he had done, help carry the victim to Benito Hospital in Dompease. Kojo Antwi was declared dead on reaching the hospital. His wife cried uncontrollably upon hearing the death of his husband. She said her husband called her to come for some sachets of water he had bought.
On her way, he met people crying that his husband has been shot dead. She has a son with her husband who was a driver. Out of anger, the youth in the community set fire into the house of the fetish priest and destroyed it. The fetish priest gave himself to the Police at Adanse Dompease.
