Father And Son Die In Nantong Accident

A man who is believed to be in his mid-seventies and his son have reportedly died in an accident in Nantong in the Northern region.

A source in the area told this news portal that the man whose identity is yet to be known was travelling with his son on a motorbike when they were hit a vehicle on the road to a town called Jana.

Persons who witnessed the accident reportedly rushed to the scene and tried sending the two to the Tamale Teaching Hospital but unfortunately the two reportedly died before they could reach the aforementioned medical facility.

The source, mentioning more details about the accident, noted that the unfortunate incident occurred after the motor the father and son were riding collided with another vehicle which was travelling the direction the motorbike was coming from. The vehicle reportedly run over them causing severe injuries to them in the process and completely mangled the motorbike.

The source continued that the man and his son were natives of Kumbungu in the Northern region and were said to be travelling to Nantong to meet up with the man’s friend over a discussion.

According to the source it was difficulty getting relations of the deceased and his son informed about the accident until someone travelling from their area identified them and informed a police team that arrived at the scene upon an intelligence they pick about the accident.

Their bodies have been deposited at the morgue of the Tamale Teaching Hospital for preservation and autopsy as part of investigation into the accident.
