They explained family planning as “the ability of individuals and couples to anticipate and attain their desired number of children and the spacing and timing of their births.
They indicated that It is achieved through use of contraceptive methods and the treatment of involuntary infertility.
They also stated that family planning is very important and it benefits individuals, as well as families and communities.
They stated some of it importance as; it helps couples avoid unintended pregnancies;
it reduces the spread of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs); and by addressing the problem of STDs, it helps reduce rates of infertility.
They added that the only way to plan your family as a married couple is to use Contraceptives. They explained that contraception also known as birth control, anti conception, and fertility control, is a method or device used to prevent pregnancy.
They revealed that there are many types of contraceptives available. One common way of categorizing contraceptive methods is by looking at how often you need to remember to take or use them, for example, there are short-term contraceptives and long-acting reversible contraception methods.
They added some types of Contraceptives as Efficacy, Hormonal / Non-Hormonal, STI protection etc.
