Fake Loan Apps: Blame NCA, BoG, and SEC – Economist

Fake Loan Apps: Blame NCA, BoG, and SEC – Economist
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

An Economist and Financial Engineer Mr. Alex Emmanuel Nti has chastised the National Communication Authority NCA, the Bank of Ghana, BoG, and the Security Exchange Commission SEC for not doing what is expected of them hence too many fake loan Apps flooded on our internet and social media.

Speaking to Ohene Kinnah on Plan B FM’s EBAANOSEN, Mr. Nti explained that, NCA has failed as a Commission in regulating the internet spectrum in the country contributing to the behavior of creating fake loan Apps to dupe people on the internet.

“If you go to China they regulate the logarithm and make sure that what comes on their internet suits the laws of the country and it’s of the importance of eventing and creating, why can’t NCA do the same in Ghana?” he quizzed

He continued that the communique issued by Bank of Ghana will not make any impact on the citizens, instead they should charge the traditional media Radio and Tv stations to educate the public to understand the issues well instead of asking people to visit the Bank’s website for more details.

He further stated that, the Security Exchage Commission whose duty is to monitor the activities of entities dealing in monetary matters has relinquished their role and everybody is doing what they like.
