Enforce Laws To Tackle Corruption In Ghana – DR. Brako

Enforce Laws To Tackle Corruption In Ghana – DR. Brako
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Political Science Lecturer at the University of Education Winneba (UEW), Dr. Isaac Brako has called for the strict enforcement of laws to deter the citizenry and politicians from engaging in acts of corruption.

Speaking with Ohene Addo on Plan B FM ‘Nkosuo Nsem’, Dr. Brako believes corruption will fester in Ghana until laws are strictly enforced.

“Until laws are imposed and enforced to deter corruption, it will continue to severely undermine our development and national security. Nobody is immune from corruption; we must punish offenders severely to deter others from engaging in corrupt practices,” Dr. Brako remarked.

According to him, the country should put in stringent measures to ensure that it doesn’t only implement the laws, but also make sure laws  are enforce and punish people who violate the laws of the land to serve as a deterrent to others.

He also advocated for the need to inculcate the spirit of patriotism and volunteerism among school children in our basic schools to help in shaping the future of the country.

“We need to teach our kids the importance of our history and Liberal education. Children should learn to have love and devotion towards our country, protect the interest of the country, obey our laws, keep public property in good condition so everyone can benefit. This is the best way to imbibe patriotism so children can naturally and easily demonstrate the values of patriotism when in various leadership positions,” Dr. Brako remarked.
