Election 2024: NDC’s Ebi Bright goes hard on Charles Forson; describes him as “gullible and incompetent”

Election 2024: NDC’s Ebi Bright goes hard on Charles Forson; describes him as “gullible and incompetent”

Ebi Bright, the newly elected MP for Tema Central, has publicly criticised Charles Forson, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) candidate, for his apparent lack of knowledge and competence, labelling him as “gullible” and “incompetent” after she was declared the winner of the constituency’s parliamentary election on Monday.

Bright expressed concerns over Forson’s claims, including his assertion that there are 756 constituencies in Ghana, instead of the actual 276. She also criticised Forson’s boast of solving the sewage problem in Tema Central with a mere GH₵2000.

Furthermore, Bright issued a warning to Forson, stating that if he continues to parade himself as the MP-elect, he will face the law for allegedly falsifying documents to rig the election.

A Presiding Officer testified against Forson, revealing his involvement in falsifying documents, which was part of a larger scheme to rig the election involving some of her own party agents.

In contrast, Bright unveiled her ambitious plan to transform Tema into a hub of employment opportunities. She aims to provide youths with industry-specific skills and secure assured jobs. Bright emphasised the importance of representing the interests of industries in Tema and ensuring their continued investment in the community.

As a member of Parliament, Bright pledged to promote policies and programmes that support industry-led training initiatives, creating a pipeline of skilled workers for the local job market. Her vision is to revitalise Tema’s economy and make it an attractive destination for industries seeking skilled labour.
