Effective feedback stems from strong communication skills – Economist advises

Effective feedback stems from strong communication skills – Economist advises
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Renowned economist, entrepreneur, and radio activist Sir Chris has advised marketers, entrepreneurs, and business owners to continually develop and uphold strong communication skills, describing them as essential to personal and professional success.

Speaking to Blutut Africa on Plan B FM’s Drive Time show, Sir Chris stressed that effective communication is a fundamental life skill that every individual must master. According to him, communication influences all aspects of human interaction, including marriage, business relationships, and even everyday choices such as food and clothing.

“Anyone who is good at human relations will always rise higher,” he noted.

Sir Chris explained that effective feedback is a direct result of good communication, particularly in marketing and business. He observed that many businesses in Ghana have collapsed due to poor communication practices, emphasizing that feedback itself is a form of communication.

He further highlighted non-verbal communication elements such as eye contact and body language as crucial tools that can shape perception and trust.

According to him, clarity in communication is non-negotiable, as clients are unlikely to take businesses seriously when messages are unclear. He added that good communication minimizes misunderstandings and strengthens professional relationships.

He concluded by urging individuals and businesses to prioritize effective communication as a key driver of growth and sustainability.
