ECG Missing Containers Saga: Culprits Must Be Severely Punished – Mathew Ankarh Kitcher to Gov’t

ECG Missing Containers Saga: Culprits Must Be Severely Punished – Mathew Ankarh Kitcher to Gov’t

A social communicator, Mathew Ankarh Kitcher, has stated that those responsible for the missing containers belonging to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) must be severely punished.

Mr. Kitcher expressed his disappointment with how corruption cases are handled in Ghana, lamenting that corrupt officials are often shielded from accountability.

Speaking on Plan B FM’s Ebaanosen show with Ohene Kinnah on Monday, March 31, 2025, Mr. Kitcher urged the Attorney General and the government to take immediate action to eradicate corruption in the country.

“Corrupt officials should be hanged or shot and killed,” he stated.

“It’s time to change certain things in Ghana to instill fear and panic among government officials. Anyone who causes financial loss to the state must face severe consequences,” he added.

The social communicator emphasized that the government should confiscate the assets of corrupt officials.

“All assets of corrupt officials must be seized. The culprits should be hanged, shot and killed, or sentenced to life imprisonment to serve as a deterrent to others,” he insisted.

Mr. Kitcher further stated that the ECG board and government officials involved in corruption must be dealt with accordingly.

“Government officials in Ghana do not prioritize the well-being of ordinary citizens. Farmers, traders, teachers, nurses, students—everyone deserves better,” he concluded.
