E/R: Moving Fuel Tanker Catches Fire

Fire Destroys About 10 Shops At Tamale Aboabo Market

A tanker vehicle carrying a full load of fuel from Accra direction toward Kumasi has burst into flames on the Accra -Highway.

The tanker vehicle reportedly crashed into an  electricity pole along the road side and as result caught fire while approaching  Abrodiem -Nkawkawmu river at the hotel junction.

The driver and the mate manage to escape from the vehicle before it was engulfed by the fire.

Fortunately, the accident occurred a few meters from the Ghana National Fire service station hence firefighters quickly rushed to the scene to avert the explosion before finally extinguishing the fire.

The accident occurred around 4 am this Friday, July 8, 2022.

The cause of the accident is being investigated
