The Assembly Member for Amanase North Electoral Area in Ayensuano District in Eastern Region has been crushed to death by a speeding car.

Michael Goha was aboard a motorbike Friday morning from Amanase heading towards Kraboa Coaltar the district capital to attend the Executive Committee meeting by the Ayensuano District Assembly.

Mybrytnewsroom has gathered that the motor rider who was transporting the Assemblymember from Amanase to Coaltar used the new dualization lane of the Accra to Kumasi highway in an attempt to cross to the old lane.

However, a speeding tipper truck honked at them causing the rider to panic and as a result, became confused hence a speeding Toyota Corolla car crashed them into the motorbike.

The Assembly Member died instantly while the rider sustained a serious injury and was rushed to Suhum Government Hospital for treatment.

The body of the assembly member has been deposited at the morgue of the same hospital.
