A Sprinter bus travelling from Kumasi to Sefwi Bekwai in the evening crushed a woman to death as the woman was standing by the roadside. The woman was also travelling from Kumasi to Enchi in a Stanbic bus. Their bus broke down on the road after one of the bus’s tires had a fault. The driver stopped and was trying to fix the fault. All the passengers got down and were by the roadside.
One of the passengers of the Stanbic bus said they were three women standing by the roadside trying to get a network connection. As they stood there, she saw a bus coming towards them. She shouted for them to leave the area. She and another woman quickly left the place but the woman who got hit by the bus, unfortunately, moved towards the direction of the bus and the bus hit her.
She died at the spot. One passenger who was in the Sprinter bus that killed the woman said that their bus was about getting an accident and the driver shouted that they were going to die. Then their driver moved the car into the direction of those who were standing by the roadside and killed the woman. She added that the driver started screaming in the bus that he had killed someone. They got down and indeed the woman was dead.
