A young man, believed to be in his late 20s, has died following a road accident at Kasoa in the Central Region.

The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. near the end of the Kasoa overpass.

Eyewitnesses told Adom News that a Mercedes-Benz vehicle, registration number GT 7860-X, reportedly struck the man as he attempted to cross the highway.

Shortly after the initial impact, a tipper truck descending from the overpass allegedly ran over him.

Police have conveyed the body to a nearby mortuary and are working to trace the deceased’s relatives as investigations continue.
