As Ghana continues to navigate the challenges posed by global events like COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has remains optimistic about nation’s economic future.
He reiterated his statement made previously during the height of the pandemic, emphasizing the government’s focus on reviving the economy rather that prioritizing economic growth over public health.
If you will recollect, I did say, at the height of the pandemic, that we knew how to bring back the economy to life, but did not know how to bring back the life of people” President Nana Akufo-Addo reminded Ghanaians.
I believe, in all humility, that the nation is today appreciative of the validity of my statement, as the economic recovery is strongly on course.
President Nana Akufo-Addo’s confidence in Ghana’s economic revival is further supported by the ongoing efforts to attract foreign investment and strengthen international cooperation.
Reacting to this on Plan B Fm’s ‘Nkosuonsem’ hosted by Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi, a National Communications team member of Movement for Change, Mr. John Kofi Adusei Opoku indicated that, the Vice President and the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the head of the economic management team and things are getting out of hands.
“Ghana’s economy is in shambles while the Vice President is talking of digitization. Dr. Bawumia has reduced the office of the Vice President as a trotro mate, meanwhile he asked the then Vice President the late Amissah Arthur series of questions. Ghanaians doesn’t need and won’t vote for a joker as President. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia doesn’t deserve to be President” he confirmed.
