Mustapha Foyo Gbande, Deputy General Secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), has cautioned those in cushy positions in this administration against using their wealth to try and remove current party executives.
He says the current executives delivered their success in the last election, and ousting them would be ungrateful.
Speaking on Onua FM’s Yen Nsempa morning show on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, Gbande warned that those who try it will face the executives’ wrath.
“If as a CEO, you use your money to go and remove someone, that person will come after you. If you’re a minister, the person will come after you because you’re enjoying the hard work of these same wretched party executives,” he advised.
Meanwhile, Gbande further disclosed that the leadership intends reorganising the party to patch all loopholes in the coming year, since he knows it risks disintegration as a result of some internal wranglings as long as the party remains a mobilsation force.
“We’ve got a few knots to tighten, and that’s gonna keep us busy from January. As a political party, which is a mass mobilisation tool, you’ve got to manage conflicts, disagreements, expectations, and satisfaction levels,” he stated.
He explained that even though the “mercenary” that won them the last election is still intact, it’s wise they reorganise.
“We’ve won in the last one year, we’ve had some managing the government, some managing the party. We are having to go back to do reorganisation. I think as we speak now, our party and the mercenary of our party is okay. From branch to constituency, to region, to national, the machinery that won us the election has not collapsed,” he stated.
