A renowned Ghanaian businessman, Mr. George Oti Bonsu has stated emphatically that, if he were the president, he would have engaged all the two hundred and seventy-five (275) Members of Parliament in production rather than going to parliament.

Mr. Bonsu expressed his disappointment on Ghanaian MPs for going to the parliament house  just to go and sit down  responding to ‘yeah yeah’, ‘no no’ whiles there is equally important things which can help create jobs for the youth and also improve the economic fortunes of the country.

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, September 8, 2024, Mr. Bonsu said most Ghanaians do not attach seriousness to their work.

“I would have engaged all the two hundred and seventy-five Members of Parliament in production rather than them going to parliament always if I were to be president” he noted.

“Looking at the vast land in the country, take a critical survey in all the constituencies where the land is good for the growing of maize, then the government will invest in it and allow the MP together with the chief to supervise, where it’s good for textile, the government invest in that and also allow MP there together with the chief to do same and before you realized, youth will be employed in all the two hundred and seventy-five constituencies also the country will grow it economy at the end of the year.

“MP should be going to parliament at least twice a month to discuss serious matters so that the rest of the days within the month would be using for supervising those production projects” he added.

Mr. Bonsu emphasized that, Ghanaians want easy way so they just venture into politics just to enrich themselves after university.
