Speaking on the Nyansapo Fie show on Plan B 104.5FM, Muhammad Husein Acquah has advised couples to exercise discipline in their speech, stressing that a successful marriage begins with controlling what comes out of one’s mouth.
According to him, a disciplined spouse is one who knows how to manage their tongue and carefully considers the consequences of their words before speaking. He explained that careless speech often leads to unnecessary conflicts, which could have long-term effects on relationships.
Mr. Acquah cautioned couples against the use of insults and humiliation, describing them as destructive tools that weaken emotional bonds between partners. He noted that while some words may not be insulting on their own, the manner and tone in which they are delivered can easily offend or hurt a partner if not handled with care.
He further emphasized that communication is not only about what is said, but also how it is said, urging couples to speak with respect, patience, and understanding at all times.
Concluding his remarks, Muhammad Husein Acquah encouraged spouses to learn how to control their anger, noting that unchecked anger often fuels harsh words and regrettable actions. He stressed that mastering emotional control is key to avoiding consequences that could damage marriages and relationships.
