A certain Maame Afua Adom-Boakye has been warned by solicitors of the Director of Communication at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, to retract and apologise for a publication, the solicitors say she did not support with evidence.
According to the solicitors for Eugene Arhin, Maame Afua Adom-Boakye accused their client of thievery without any form of evidence to prove her claim adding that her publication is defamatory.
She has been served through email, WhatsApp and Facebook messenger by solicitors of the Director of Communications at the Presidency.
A letter signed by the Managing partner of Marfo & Associates, Gary Nimako Marfo Esq, indicated that the said lady, Maame Afua Adom-Boakye accused Eugene Arhin of thievery without any form of evidence to back her claim.
The letter continued that Maame Afua used a social media platform, Facebook on October 23, 2021 and mentioned: “..as far as I am concerned, Eugene Arhin is a thief. Until an independent probe is launched into his dealings to prove otherwise, no one can tell me his ex-wife’s claims are false.
“But will that ever happen? Absolutely not. Because amassing wealth through illicit means comes with the job. Almost everyone is doing it. And yes, there’s no one under God’s sun who can write memos and speeches for the President but him.”
According to Eugene Arhin’s solicitors, these allegations are baseless without any form of evidence to support her claim and added that hse has been challenged to back such claims with evidence if she has any.
The letter added that as far as the solicitors, is concerned no law court has convicted their client of thievery.
They continued that she has been directed to retract the said publication which according to them, is filled with ill-mannered and unprintable language on or before Thursday, October 28, 2021. The letter pointed out that failure on her part to do so the solicitors will not hesitate to press charges against her at the Court of Law, per instructions given by Mr. Eugene Arhin.
“Please be informed that we have our client’s full instructions to use all the available legal remedies to vindicate his grievances without further recourse to you should you fail to comply with our request within the period stated supra,” the letter concluded.
