Recently an indigen of Katamansu has survived a brutal assassination attack orchestrated by a group of notorious Landguards headed by one Alhassan a.k.a Commander ‘Adwinfi’ who are currently in Police custody.
The said grand assassination orchestrated by “Adwinfi” was done in collaboration with Laryea Lomo of Amanfro whom suspiciously has annexed an area of the Sacred Pinkwai Forest in Katamansu and dissipating it wantonly next to nothing to unsuspecting individuals with the support of Nii Aryee, Daniel Okpoti all of La who allegedly recruits ex-convicts and known armed robbers for one Dr. Botwe of Laboma also in La whom we are reliably informed owns a security company by name Coperate Protection Security (CPS) and whose mode of operation has been series of Robberies in Greater Accra and beyond as was evidenced in the case of Emmanuel Acolatse aka “Vandam” captured on CCTV landing them in the grips of the Greater Accra Police Command.
Alledgedly Vandam being a threat to them and a resident in the Pinkwai Region in Katamansu was attacked and assaulted in a harrowing incident, and abducted by this group of thugs led by the said Adwinfi.
The attackers reportedly stormed Emmanuel Acolatse’s (Vandam’s) residence and as usual did what they are best known for being Robbery and subjected him and his fàmily to life threatening brutality.
An eye witness information indicated that Alhassan and his cohorts forced their way into Acolatse’s residence, physically assaulted him, Robbed him of a significant amount of money, Jewelleries and other valuable items worth over half a million Ghana Cedis.
The CCTV footage showed them dragged Acolatse after their operation out of his home, took him to a remote bush in the Pinkwai Forest where they intended killing him but upon a tip off of their actions they rescind from going ahead to kill him as intended and rather advised themselves to dumped him covered in a pool of blood at Police central command.
Police upon realising the extent of assault metted to Acolatse and family members advised they should be rushed to the Police hospital for urgent medical attention.
The attackers haven to cover their unlawful act subjected him to a false news paper publication in the dailies.
His condition is currently stable, and he is receiving treatment.
The incident has sparked significant concern among local residents, who are alarmed by the violent nature of the attacks and ongoing Robberies within the said enclave.
The case has since moved to court, where Acolatse’s family seeks justice for the brutal ordeal he endured.
Local authorities are urging the public to remain calm as the legal process unfolds.
Information received from the area however indicates that, Alhassan a.k.a Adwinfi has become untouchable in the area, attacking residents over their properties and annexing Lands acquired legitimately from genuine grantees from Katamansu.
Adwinfi does storm into people houses, point guns at them especially the young and upcoming young men in the hood and accuses them of their involvement in fraud and through the process robs them of their money.
He has done that to several upcoming young men who are doing well in the area,” a resident narrated.
With his arrest, calm is expected to return to the area as residents express confidence in the Ghana Police for doing a good job in their investigations so as to help tame and cage Adwinfi for peace to prevail in Katamansu in the Pinkwai Forest area.
