The inspector general of police has acted again and has proven that he is a man for the people. The IGP was active right from the onset and people thought he had lost his touch after a few months into office.
That according to the reports we are gathering is never the case. The IGP has successfully put corrupt people behind bars and we can not applaud him enough.
He has once again stood up for what is right and has at least made a victim of rape smile once again after law makers tried to cover up this hideous act.
Money is currently ruling this country and having the influence that people find so hard to counter or oppose because they are the vulnerable and poor.
A young and beautiful lady according to description from the Utv morning news was revealed to have visited the university campus and was seeking admission.
This old man who happens to be the Dean Of students for the university of health and allied science, UHAS was the person in charge of her admission affairs.
As a result, the young lady whose name remains anonymous was directed to the office of the Dean, Dr. Obeng Duodu who took her number and decided to be a good samaritan.
Little did she know that he has planned to take advantage of her. After forcing her into bed and raping her even when she declared that she was in her month or period, the Dean denied and decided to put fear in her.
The matter reaching the Ghana police also met one of the corrupt police officers who according to reports was trying to instill fear in the family and victim herself.
He tried to boycott the arrest and prevent the Dean from paying for his crimes but Dampare acted immediately.
After reaching the IGP, he ensured the arrest of this Dean who has been granted bail but is still being charged with rape and meeting his fate according to the law.
