Curruption fight: Our institutions must sit up – NCCE

Lack Of Integrity Is Cause Of Corruption In Ghana – Political Analyst

The Tema Metro branch of the National Commssion for Civic Education NCCE has stated that institutions mandated to fight curruption in country must sit up because it seems little is been done about the issu.

Speaking on Plan B FM morning show Nkosuonsem with Ohene Addo on the topic CURRUPTION AND ITS RELATED ISSUES, the Tema Metro NCCE director Madam Gifty Agyeiwaa Badu together with Mr Fidel Bortey also the Tema west NCCE director said much is expected from Economic Oganise Crime Office EOCO,Commission of Human Right and Administrative Justice CHRAJ, Office of the Special Prosecutor OSP, Auditor General, Attony General etc to make curruption unatractive but corruption is the rise in the country.

“looking at the previous reports and the 2020 Auditor General’s report on Covid-19 expenditure tells you that effort put in corruption fight is not satisfactory, whenever the Aditor General publishes a report and there is a misappropration of funds we talk about it but we dont take necessary actions it issue die it’s natural death” she stressed

Mr Fidel Bortey in his submission said the citizenery must be courageous to report suspected currupt activities to lessen the manace,”in every district assembly the country we have the Public Relation Complain Committee PRCC chairs by the presiding member which deals with currupt cases, so with this those whone engage themselves in currupt activities will be terrified.

The directors in their final submission appeal to the general public to come to their aid and help the National Commission for Civic Education to get equipment been vehicle, computers etc to equip the coommission to work effectively in educating the populace and create more awareness.
