Court Remands Man Who Allegedly Murdered Girlfriend For Refusing Him Sex

The Amanfrom District Court, presided over by Her Ladyship Emelia K Abruquah, has remanded 35-year-old Bro Sammy into police custody for the alleged murder of his 26-year-old girlfriend, Mabel Asantewaa, at Kalabule Chinese near the Kasoa Tollbooth in the Ga South Municipality.

Police investigations revealed that Bro Sammy allegedly demanded sex from Asantewaa, but she refused, citing menstruation.

The disagreement reportedly escalated, leading to the death of Asantewaa.

Following the act, Bro Sammy allegedly ingested a poisonous substance in an apparent suicide attempt.

He was rushed to a hospital for treatment and, upon regaining consciousness, led police to the crime scene, where he identified the knife believed to have been used in the murder.

According to a report by oyerpafmonline.com on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, Bro Sammy pleaded guilty during his court appearance and is scheduled to reappear on October 19, 2025, as investigations continue.
The tragic incident, which occurred on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, has reportedly left the community in shock.
