Lady Rev. Charlotte Hanson, Head of the Public Affairs Unit at the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations in Accra, has cautioned couples in unhappy marriages against seeking validation elsewhere, warning that it may lead to compromising their personal standards.
Speaking to Nana Asabea on Plan B FM’s Nyansapɔ Fie show, on the topic “Guilty Conscience About Lust and Sexual Activities”, Lady Rev. Hanson emphasized the importance of self-awareness, especially in situations where poverty and lust can lead to regrettable choices.
She urged couples to be mindful of the consequences of their actions, which may violate their personal values and lead to long-term regrets.
In his words, Prophet Ebenezer Dunamis, Head Pastor of Army of God Revival Church, sounded a warning that lustful acts can lead down a dangerous path of deviant behaviors, guilty conscience, and even self-destruction.
He urged the public to shun such acts and seek a path of righteousness.
Mrs. Marilyn Abeka-Daniels, a seasoned tutor at the University of Media, Arts, and Communication, also added that three acts – lust of the flesh, lust of the eye, and pride of life – can mostly lead to a guilty conscience.
She urged everyone to have control over them to avoid regrettable consequences. To her, when people exhibit self-control, they will be free from the bondages of the effects of lust.
