Dr. Eric Amoah of Aid-Life Herbal Research Hospital at Ashaiman has advised the general public to as a matter of urgency seek early treatment whenever they experience general joint and body pains because it could be symptoms of syphilis infection.

Speaking on Plan B Fm weekly health show APOMUDEN Fie, with Ohene Addo, Dr. Eric Amaoh stressed that, body and joint pains could be a sign/symptom of syphilis infection that can lead to so many problems in the body if not attended to on time for treatment.

He said syphilis can stay in the body for so many years if not treated properly and could lead to infertility, paralysis, and joint pains.

“Most of the elderly experiencing frequent joint pains are as a result of untreated syphilis infection. Attracting syphilis infection breaks the immune system. The body is vulnerable to so many diseases” He stated.
