The Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana has hinted that they will resist any attempt by the government to reintroduce  road tolls after five  months of repeal by the road minister a day after the presentation of the 2023 budget statement by finance minister Ken Ofori Atta in 2022.

Speaking on Plan B FM’s morning show NKOSUONSEM 16, march 2023, the deputy spokesperson for the Concern Drivers Association of Ghana Asonaba Wiredu said they will resist any attempt by the government over the letter the association has sighted  about the reintroduction of road levy  tolls.

He stressed that the reintroduction of the tolls across the country will cause vehicular traffic on our roads which will lead to underproduction among public service and private sector.

He further said passengers can loiter on the streets whenever there is vehicular traffic

,” Go to all the toll booths on our roads across the country and how dirty the places are, some hawkers and residents have turned those place to refuse dumping site”, he alleges.

We will deal with the government if it shows stubbornness in listening to our request, he fumes.
