The President of Fetish Priests Association of Ghana, Nana Kwaku Bonsam has hinted that, chiefs involved in “galamsey”will face the wrath of the gods.

The Fetish Priests Association of Ghana has threatened a nationwide demonstration to protest against the destruction of lands, forests and water bodies caused by illegal mining ‘’galamsey’’ activities.

In an interview with Plan B News on Monday, October 7, 2024, Nana Kwaku Bonsam expressed dissatisfaction in how chiefs have kept mute in the fight against galamsey.

“Chiefs involved in galamsey activities will face the wrath of the gods but not go Scott free” he noted.

Kwaku Bonsam stated that, chiefs who are the Custodians of the land and supposed to take proper care of the environment are now hiding behind galamseyers to destroy and pollute our water bodies, forest reserves and farm lands.

The group, which numbers over 2,000, will unite Fetish Priests across the country in an unprecedented protest.
