The National Chief Imam, Alhaji Dr. Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, paid a courtesy visit to the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company (BOST)head office in Accra on Monday, January 27, 2025.

The visit was to congratulate Mr. Afetsi Awoonor on his recent appointment as the Managing Director of BOST.

Mr. Awoonor, who holds the distinction of being the youngest CEO in the company’s history, received commendation and blessings from the revered Islamic leader.

During the visit, the Chief Imam reflected on his longstanding friendship with the late Professor Kofi Awoonor, the father of the new CEO, making the occasion deeply personal.

He also praised His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama for entrusting such a significant leadership role to Mr. Awoonor, emphasizing the critical responsibility of managing BOST as a key player in Ghana’s energy sector.

The Chief Imam urged Mr. Awoonor to approach his leadership role with integrity, commitment, and a spirit of excellence.

He also encouraged the BOST management team to work collaboratively towards fulfilling their mandate to the nation.

Concluding his visit with a prayer session, Alhaji Dr. Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu invoked divine guidance for the new CEO and his team to successfully steer BOST towards innovation, efficiency, and sustainable growth in Ghana’s energy landscape.
