English side Chelsea have reached an agreement with Ghana defender Abdul Baba Rahman over a mutual contract termination to leave the club in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Baba Rahman spent the 2022/23 football season on loan at relegated English Championship side Reading FC where he managed to make 18 appearances for the club.
Chelsea have finally opted to part ways with the Black Stars defender after uninspiring stint since his arrival at the club in 2015.
Baba Rahman, who has a contract with Chelsea until the summer of 2024, has been farmed out by Chelsea to several clubs including Schalke O4, Stade Reims, RCD Mallorca and POAK in Greece.
Despite a eight-year stay at Chelsea, Baba Rahman has made only 23 appearances for the Blues with two assists to his credit.
Kickgh.com reported on Sunday that Baba Rahman is close reuniting with Greek Super League side PAOK FC on a free transfer.
PAOAK and Baba have already agreed to personal terms and are now waiting for his current side to sanction the transfer move this summer.
The 29-year-old former FC Augsburg defender, who played on loan at the Thessaloniki-based side in 2021, could once again team-up with his former employers permanently in the Greek top-flight for the upcoming season.
