Calvert-Lewin Header Hands Everton A 1-0 Win Over Spurs

Everton beat a lacklustre Tottenham 1-0 in North London thanks to Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s thunderous second-half header.

Toffees debutant James Rodriguez also put delivered a fantastic and composed performance in his premier game in the English top-flight league.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men were head and shoulders above Spurs who looked sluggish and out of ideas throughout the game.

Indeed for Everton’s goal, Calvert-Lewin was head, shoulders, knees and toes above flat-footed Eric Dier as he out-jumped Tottenham’s ‘centre-back’ by a mile to put the Toffees ahead 55 minutes into the match handing the Toffees a brilliant start to the season.

Everton play Crystal Palace away at Selhurst Park sandwiched between West Bromwich Albion and Brighton Hove & Albion at Goodison Park over the next 3 matchdays.
