Hearts of Oak will begin their CAF Confederation Cup campaign from the second preliminary round following Tuesday’s draw in Cairo, Egypt.

The Phobians will be facing the winner of the match between AS Douanes of Burkina Faso and Mali’s AS Bamako.

Douanes will tackle Bamako in a two-leg affair in September before the winner takes on the Ghanaian giants in the next stage.

The second preliminary round of the Confederation Cup is slated for October 2022.

Hearts are returning to the competition after a disappointing campaign last season where they were eliminated in the play-off round by Algerian side JS Saoura.
