Ghana Premier League champions, Medeama SC will face Nigerian side, Remo Stars FC in the preliminary stage of the 2023 CAF Champions League.

The first leg of the tie will be played in Ghana before Medeama travel to Sagamu to face Remo Stars.

According to Medeama SC, the Cape Coast Stadium will host the first leg of the tie, rather than their regular home ground, the TNA Park at Tarkwa .

The last time Medeama SC made it to the group stages of the CAF Confederations Cup was in 2016 when they eliminated Al-Ittihad Tripoli of Libya, Sudan’s Al Ahly Shendi, and Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa.

However, they did not make it out of Group A and finished third behind MO Bejaia and TP Mazembe.
