Breaking The 8 Ampa – Reactions As Fuel Prices Finally Break The 8

Fuel prices in Ghana has finally cross the 8cedis mark. An image shared by Kofi Asare, the Executive Director of Africa Educational Watch (EduWatch) on his Official Facebook page has confirmed this.

Total, a leader Oil Marketing Company now sells super at 8 cedis and above.

Recently, fuel prices has been increasing every few days. Although a lot of Ghanaians has complained but it the fuel prices keep increasing. Transport fares has been increased by 15% owing to the fuel prices.

In a separate post, Hon Kennedy Nyarko Osei the MP for Akim Swedru Constituency on the ticket on NPP has reacted to the increase. On Tuesday, March 1st 2022 he wrote;

“Pray that the Ukraine invasion ends quickly else be prepared to pay more for fuel at the pump stations. Ghanaian cannot extricate itself from what’s happening between Russia and Ukraine.”

It is believed that, the ongoing Russian – Urakraine war has further worsen the prices of fuel.
