A legal dispute has already emerged over the estate of the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba, barely one month after his burial on December 13, 2025.
His widow, Akosua Serwaa, his elder sister, Ernestina Fosu, and his daughter, Charlyn Fosu, have jointly applied to the Kumasi High Court for letters of administration to manage and distribute his properties.
Court documents show that Akosua Serwaa appeared before the Kumasi High Court on January 14, 2026, exactly one month after the funeral, seeking legal authority to administer the estate.
Media personality NYDJ reported on January 15, 2026, that Akosua Serwaa, Ernestina Fosu and Charlyn Fosu listed 19 properties in their application which they claim form part of the late musician’s estate and must have a share of.
The 19 properties and assets Akosua Serwaa is demanding a share of include:
1. Half of a house at Dome, Accra – valued at about GH¢500,000
2. Half of a house at West Legon, Accra – valued at about GH¢500,000
3. Half of a house at Tantra Hills, Accra – valued at about GH¢400,000

However, Daddy Lumba’s other wife, Priscilla Ofori, also known as Odo Broni, has filed a caveat through her lawyers challenging Akosua Serwaa’s move.
According to the caveat, the presence of another legally recognised spouse invalidates any attempt by one party to unilaterally assume control over the estate.
