The National Sports Authority (NSA) has firmly denied reports that the Borteyman Sports Complex was recently used for a church activity.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Venue Manager Majeed Bawa clarified the situation following widespread criticism over the alleged use of the $145 million facility for non-sports purposes.
Over the weekend, reports circulated that the complex had been rented out for church activities, sparking backlash given the historical neglect of sports facilities post-major events.
Bawa responded by explaining that the University of Ghana, University of Professional Studies, Valley View University, and other institutions had visited the complex as part of a tour, not for a church service.
