The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Johnson Asiama, has updated Parliament on the financial status of the central bank’s headquarters project. As of February 2025, a total of approximately $230 million has been spent on the construction, with an outstanding balance of $31.8 million yet to be settled with the contractor. Dr. Asiama also revealed that $48.3 million had been paid in taxes and levies related to the project, highlighting the significant financial obligations involved. Beyond the core building, additional contracts were awarded for essential infrastructure. These include ICT systems and network infrastructure costing $8.6 million, integrated electronic systems at $15.8 million, and furniture and furnishings valued at $11.1 million
