Blame yourself on current economic woes – government told.

President Akufo-Addo to meet MMDCEs, House of Chiefs today over galamsey

A social commentator Mr. Nicherin Appiah Boadi has called on the ruling government to also blame itself for the worse economic times the country faced years back.

Speaking on the Plan B Fm morning show NKOSUONSEM on Wednesday 22 march 2023, Mr. Boadi explained that any opportunity given to any government official is use to blame the previous administration, the Covid-19 outbreak, and the Russia and Ukraine war for the current economic situation in the country and has forgotten that the number of appointees this administration has since 2017.

“if you over 80 ministers and uncountable presidential staffers, many boards of directors and CEOs, and the income you generate is not sufficient to support your budget, the money you borrowed meant for developmental projects will be used in paying salaries and this will affect the economy”, .he stressed

“Countries like china where covid 19 broke out are on their toes Russia and Ukraine are in serious war but their economy is still on the right path and doing well so why do we always make excuses that are not justifiable”.

This was in reaction to what Prof. Stephen Adei said that overborrowing is one of the biggest mistakes of the Akufo-Addo government.
