Black Stars and Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has stated that he feels good after undergoing surgery to address a knee injury.

Issahaku picked up the injury while on duty with Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team during the last international break of 2024.

The former Sporting Lisbon player played in Ghana’s 1-1 draw with Angola in Luanda in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers but was substituted at half time due to a knee issue that bothered him throughout the second phase of the first half.

Issahaku posted a picture of himself on a hospital bed after the surgery on his Instagram page and stated that he was feeling good after the procedure.

“All glory be to Almighty Allah. My surgery was successful and I just want to tell everyone that I am okay and I am feeling good after the surgery. I want to thank everyone for your best wishes” he wrote on his Instagram page.

Issahaku leads the English  Premier League at the time of writing in dribbles completed (29); fellow Black Stars players Mohammed Kudus and Antoine Semenyo round up the top three with 28 and 24 completed dribbles respectively.
