Black Stars set for a two-nation World Cup test, opening their campaign across Canadian turf and American soil

The venues for Ghana’s group-stage matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup have been officially confirmed following the completion of the draw, with the Black Stars set to play all their fixtures in Canada and the United States.

Ghana, drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia, and Panama, will compete on June 17, 23, and 27, as the team seeks its first qualification to the knockout stage since the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Despite Mexico serving as one of the three co-hosts of the tournament, the Black Stars will not play any of their group matches there.

Match Venues Confirmed

Ghana will open its campaign on:

  • June 17 vs Panama — Toronto, Canada

  • June 23 vs England — Boston, USA

  • June 27 vs Croatia — Philadelphia, USA

The fixture against England is expected to be one of the most anticipated clashes of the group stages, with large Ghanaian and English communities in the US likely to fill the stands in Boston.

The June 27 matchup against Croatia in Philadelphia could prove decisive, especially if qualification hinges on the final round of group games.

The Black Stars will be aiming to improve on their 2014 and 2022 campaigns, having missed qualification for the Round of 16 since their historic quarterfinal run in 2010.
