Bibiani Gold Stars Defeat Accra Lions To Win 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League Title

Bibiani Gold Stars Sporting Club are officially winners of the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season after delivering an emphatic win on the final day of the campaign.

Gold Stars hammered Accra Lions 4-0 at Bibiani’s Dun’s Park to secure 63 points after 34 games with the win corresponding with losses for closest title contenders Nations FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Kotoko lost 3-1 at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex to Vision FC while Nations FC lost 2-0 to Kpando Heart of Lions at their Dr. Kwame Kyei Stadium.

Two quick goals from Abdul Farouk Amoaful and Kelvin Oppong in the fourth and 19th minute respectively put Gold Stars 2-0 up at half time.

Samuel Atta Kumi’s goal in the 73rd minute to effectively confirm Gold Stars as champions of the Ghanaian top flight for the first time and fulfilling team CEO Akwasi Adu’s promise to win the league and mimic FC Samartex’s triumph in the 2023-2024 season.
