About 569,095 candidates will sit for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), which starts on Monday 8 July 2024.
The examinations are expected to take place at about 2,123 centres across the country.
The candidates are expected to write their English language paper on 8 July 2024 and finish the examination with Arabic by Monday 15 July.
Out of the total number of candidates sitting for this year’s BECE, 282,648 are males and 286,447 are females. There will be 19,506 schools taking part in the examinations.
According to the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), about 2,123 supervisors, together with 1,889 assistant supervisors and 19,973 invigilators, will be on duty to ensure the test runs smoothly.
