No candidate will be trumpeting negativity about their gov’t in the election year – political analyst

A political science lecturer who doubles as a political analyst Clement Adu Acheampong has stated that no candidate will be trumpeting negativity about their government because they want to be voted into power.

Speaking on Plan BFM’s morning show NKOSUONSEM hosted by Obidehye Kofi Sekyi, Mr. Adu asserted that the 70 points raised by Dr. Bawumia during his ‘bold speech’ indicated that all is not well in the country reason why Bawumia is promising to abolish some taxes if voted into power.

The lecturer argued that, Ghanaians should be asking Dr Bawumia if all the promises being made are achievable or not.

“The economy is in shambles and he wants to abolish 5 important taxes, where will he get the money to manage the economy.. We should have some punitive measures to hold politicians accountable when they neglect their promises because they make big and a lot of promises without fulfilling them and go scot-free”. He stated
