Banker reportedly found hanging near block factory at Nkawkaw Nsuta

A banker identified as Eric Osei Ameyaw, believed to be in his late 30s, has reportedly been found dead at Nkawkaw Nsuta in the Eastern Region.

According to a post by the Crime Check Foundation on Facebook, Ameyaw was found hanging behind the Second Chance Church, near his block factory, on Monday, August 24, 2026.

The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, although the incident is being treated as a suspected suicide.

The Nkawkaw Police Command has commenced investigations to establish the circumstances that led to his death.

The Crime Check Foundation, in reporting the incident, urged the public not to resort to suicide when faced with difficult circumstances.

The foundation encouraged people experiencing difficult situations to seek help and support, stressing that challenges can be addressed with the right assistance.

Police investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding Ameyaw’s death.
