Ayawaso East MP Mahama Naser Toure reported dead

The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East, Mahama Naser Toure, has passed away at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after a period of illness.

A fourth-term MP, Toure held several key roles in Parliament, including Vice Chairman of the Energy Committee, and member on the Roads and Transport Committee, House Committee, and the Private Members’ Bills and Motions Committee.

According to the Second Deputy Majority Whip, Richard Acheampong, Toure is expected to be laid to rest today in accordance with Muslim tradition at his residence in Nima, Accra.
