Assist Your Wards in Selecting their Choice of Schools – Parents told

Parents have been advised to assist their wards in the ongoing Computerized Placement and School Selection System as forms are been filled manually in all schools across the country.

Interacting with the Tema West Education PRO Miss Mavis Okutu accompanied by the Basic school coordinator Nana Gyimah on Plan B fm morning show NKOSUONSEM hosted by Ohene Addo on Wednesday 9 November 2022.

In the interaction, Miss Okutu explained that the schools have been grouped into 4 categories which are

 

1. Cluster-based schools which consist of all the grade A schools and a selection from grade A schools should not exceed more than 1 and should also base on their performance and grades, 2. T-VET

schools are the Technical and Vocational Training Schools for those interested in can also make these schools their first choice not exceeding more than two, 3.

STEM SCHOOLS, these schools are for those who have a robotic interest in science, Technology, Engineering , and Mathematics and the fourth is DAY/SPECIAL SCHOOLS which are schools carefully selected in the catchment areas in all the regions and various Districts for easy accessibility.

Again they explained that those who completed years but couldn’t go to school can go to their various schools and reapply to be placed .
