Ashaiman market women cry for help

Ashaiman market women cry for help

Traders at the Ashaiman Market have expressed misgivings about the way the Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA), and for that matter the Government of the Republic have neglected them.

They did not understand why even though, they have over the years, been the highest contributor to the finances of the TMA coffers in the whole of the metropolitan area, they have been neglected.

Speaking on condition of anonymity to Ohene Kinnah on Plan B FM’s ’Ebaanosen’ , a trader from the market bemoan poor road network in the area which has been neglected for so long.

According to her, the authorities asked them to make some contributions to keep the market in good shape and also to cater for the poor sanitation in the market but it hasn’t seen the light of day.

She’s therefore calling on the government to come to their aid and make the market conducive for business.
